A talented student team from the International Business Program, named “Harmony,” has achieved remarkable success by winning third place in the prestigious “2026 12th Taiwan in My Eyes 120h – We Farm We Grow” competition.
Under the dedicated guidance of Professor Pei-Ju Tung (董珮如), the team is composed of four junior students from diverse backgrounds: Meng-Lin Lin (Taiwan), Kanav Jhalani (India), Antonique Raffiella Angelique Billingy (St. Vincent and the Grenadines), and Chantamanee Poolsawat (Thailand).
Organized by the CTCI Education Foundation, this year’s competition was highly competitive, featuring over 50 teams from top-tier universities across Taiwan, including National Taiwan University, National Central University, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Following a rigorous selection process, Team Harmony emerged as one of the finalists to present their findings on March 21, 2026.
Centering on the core theme of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the competition required participants to design and execute a five-day exploratory journey across Taiwan. Team Harmony’s itinerary covered 12 significant sustainable sites, such as the CTCI Second Headquarters, the Taoyuan District Agricultural Research and Extension Station, Wusanto Reservoir, and the Blueseeds farm in Chishang.
The team utilized field surveys, corporate visits, and local observations to develop a creative and sustainable travel plan. Their journey and insights were documented through professional presentations, social media updates, and a captivating VLOG, showcasing the international students’ deep engagement with Taiwan’s sustainability issues.
Professor Pei-Ju Tung, known for her long-term commitment to mentoring international students and her track record of guiding students toward National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) research grants, expressed great pride in the team’s innovative thinking and collaborative spirit. This achievement once again highlights the university’s excellence in fostering global perspectives and sustainable education.
