Dear IC Students,
First, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to the newcomers in the IC family!!! You are about to enter a new stage of your life, one that will bring invaluable learning opportunities, enduring friendships, and tons of inspiring insights that will help lay the foundation of your personal and career development. Second, I would also like to
welcome back to the returning students with enthusiasm. I trust you all had an enjoyable summer and are eager to begin classes!! It’s time to re-connect with old friends and make new friends. Make sure you take time to greet those who are new and help them adapt to the new environment. Regardless if you are a returning student or just about to begin a new adventure in the college, you will always find faculty and administrators available and willing to provide parental care to keep you company. We aim to build a community of learners and to create an environment that promotes leadership, diversity, and respect for others.MCU has always been a pioneer in international education and has set many extraordinary records. It was the first to establish an international college in Taiwan. On average, there are students coming from over 60 different nationalities each year. In addition, it was the first, and currently the only, university in Asia that received a university-wide accreditation by one of the government-recognized US accreditation agencies – MSCHE. Recently, it received another accreditation by a prestigious agency – AACSB, for the School of Management. Moreover, besides the four locations in Taiwan, its 5th location is in Michigan, United States (MCU-MI), which is a major breakthrough for Taiwan higher education. MCU-MI is waiting for you to explore for summer studies and master programs. All of these accomplishments have confirmed our dedication to quality higher education and determination to set you on the path of success.
Once again, I want to assure you that you are in good hands and bless you to enjoy your once-in-a-life time college experience. The keys to success are to become ACTIVE and INVOLVED in your education, whether it is joining a student organization, taking a leadership role in or outside of the classroom, participating in athletics, internship, or studying abroad, etc. Make sure you balance your academic studies with your social life and extracurricular activities. Don’t forget to leverage the resources available on campus and keep good communications with the faculty and administrators. We are here to assist you in meeting your goals and responsibilities. We look forward to your participation to enrich the IC family and to make a difference.
Best wishes for your health, studies, and a successful year!
